Arizona S.B. 1294 — ATM (Special)
Update 3/28/16: During the March 24 hearing, the Rules Committee passed the measure by an 8-0 vote. The measure awaits further consideration on the floor of the House.
1/26/16: Senator Adam Driggs (R) sponsored Arizona S.B. 1294. On February 18, 2016, an amendment to the current version of the Criminal Trespass and Burglary Code was submitted. The amendment includes in the definition of ?structure,? any device that accepts electronic or physical currency and that is used to conduct commercial transactions.

The bill was introduced and referred to the Committee on Judiciary; Committee on Rules on 1/26/16. A hearing was held, amended, passed Committee 2/18/16. Another hearing was held and passed Committee on 2/22/16. The Committee on Rules reported the measure as?Proper for Consideration? and is now eligible for consideration by the full Senate.
This measure was amendedand reported favorably by the Committee on Finance by a 7-0 vote. The amendment inserts provisions amending the Criminal Trespass and Burglary Code.
Arizona H.B. 2596 TANF prohibitions
2/2/16: A house bill was introduced on February 2, 2016. The bill restricts the use of EBT card transactions at any of the following locations: jewelry store, tattoo parlor, massage parlor, body piercing parlor, spa and nail salon, lingerie shop, tobacco paraphernalia or vapor cigarette store, psychic and fortune telling business, bail bond office, movie theater, public swimming pool, cruise ship or theme park.
