Oregon Regulatory Announcements

OR Department of Consumer and Business Services adopts rule that affects deployed ATMs

The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services, Insurance Division, has adopted a rule that allows insurance claims to be paid by automated teller machines. The rule allows the insurer, with the consent of the claimant, to pay claims by means of a prepaid card, direct deposit system, automated teller machine card or debit card or other means of electronic transfer. The rule became effective August 15, 2014.

If you have terminals deployed in Oregon, you may wish to do further research with the State, your processor and perhaps even your manufacturer to be able to allow your deployed terminals to be in compliance with this rule if required.
